Kate holds a M.S. in Library Science and a M.A. in Communications. She is an avid reader of all genres since she could hold a book in her hand. Her years of experience have taught her what works and what doesn't work in producing quality editing for her clients.

$100 deposit required at the time of manuscript submission.

Full Editing: $.008/word

Includes a comprehensive edit of story structure, world building, character development, writing quality, dialogue, and ensures language is clear, fluid, and conveys a sense of atmosphere and emotion with a steady tone of voice. Focuses on finding redundancies, overuse of words/sentences, as well as basic proofreading.

Turnaround time: approximately 8 weeks.

Developmental Editing: $.007/word

Focuses on broad changes such as story structure. world building, character development, writing quality, and dialogue.

Turnaround time: approximately 6-8 weeks.

Ensures your language is clear, fluid, and conveys a steady tone of voice. Focuses on finding redundancies, overuse of words/sentences, confusing action or scenes, unnatural phrasing, and bland language use. 

Turnaround time: approximately 4-6 weeks.

Line Editing: $.006/word

Proofreading Services: $50.00 Flat Rate

Includes checking basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Turnaround time: approximately 1-3 weeks.
